Boris Lovet Lorski (Lithuanian/American 1894-1973)

A major contributor to the American Art Deco style of the 1920's, he created only two portfolios of lithographs.  The work listed below is from Volume I, 1929, a portfolio numbered 169/250, by Ad.  Braun & Company (Haut-Rhin), on hand-made laid Montval paper by Caspard Maillol.

 

Untitled lithograph, 1929.   Male figure with horse against a mountainous landscape.  At the top of one hill a nude female figure with arms stretched upward. 9 1/2” x 12".                                                                                                $900
